Help, please! I'm trying to identify European countries with a specific residency requirement for those elected to their national legislature. Are elected members of the national legislature (lower chamber) required to live in the district which they represent? Grateful for any who can provide info.

Apparently "Democracy dies in darkness" was a plan, not a warning.

I've canceled my subscription to the Washington Post and have canceled my Amazon Prime subscription. I've sent that money to Emilia Sykes and Mary Peltola instead.

I do not understand why Harris and Walz are not campaigning in Ohio. It's infuriating. We're a state that has actually constitutionalized abortion rights less than a year ago. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

Early voting begins today in Ohio. Find your polling place and information re: voter identification here: www.ohiosos.gov/elections/vo.... Elections have consequences. If you don't vote, there will be an election outcome nonetheless, and those who do vote will decide your future for you.

Today is the last day to register to vote in Ohio. See olvr.ohiosos.gov.

If you're not registered, you can't vote.

Elections have consequences. If you can't (or don't) vote, there will be an election outcome nonetheless, and others (those who do vote) will decide your future for you.

I love when Walz talks about agriculture. Seriously.

Moment of gender with the new Lincoln Project campaign ad: "It's time to be a man and vote for a woman."

Harris and Walz should campaign in OH. They should target CLE, Columbus, and Cinci; they should visit Springfield to call out the lies being repeated by our junior Senator; and they should campaign enough to make Vance return to OH. OH constitutionalized abortion rights. OH has 17 electoral votes.

While killing time at the Philadelphia airport, I just filled out the #APSA2024 survey and expressed my outrage about the inclusion of the Claremont Institute in this year’s program.

I encourage fellow participants to do the same!

I made a QR code to Dave’s piece. Would be cool if everyone added this to their slides to make sure audiences are informed about what is happening at APSA:

What is the Claremont Institute doing back at APSA?
Institutional cowardice is not a good way to run a professional association.

Calling out to political scientists: I'd be grateful for suggestions about operationalizing electoral competition (i.e. how competitive an election is, e.g. difference in percentage of vote won by two major parties). Help, please.
