My heart aches, my heart breaks for this poor child on Epstein Island, being tortured with a magnifying glass focused on the sun.

What kind of crime is this? 😭

A ceasefire did not end Israel’s war in Gaza. Civilian deaths have continued, and the damage to Israel itself has deepened, Gideon Levy writes.

Like a gambler who lost his fortune, Israel wants another war
Despite a declared ceasefire and the return of hostages, large-scale killing has continued in Gaza. The war has become self-perpetuating, leaving Israel morally, politically and strategically diminished.

Credit to The Nation for its ‘A Day for Gaza’
Have to point out that PalCast, thanks to the work of Yousef Aljamal, has platformed dozens and dozens of people from Gaza, many of whom are contributors to the Nation now. No gimmicks, just Palestinians speaking for Palestine from on the ground in Gaza.

Its destruction came as Israel said it will ban Doctors Without Borders, or MSF, from operating in Gaza, after the charity refused to provide Israeli authorities a list of its Palestinian staff. MSF currently provides at least 20% of hospital beds in Gaza.

Despite the ongoing death and suffering in Gaza, it's fallen out of the news. So today, @thenation.com is devoting its full website to stories from Gaza, written by reporters who have been there. Very proud of the magazine today.

Israel's bombing of Gaza kills 23, mostly women and children.
It comes as nearly 20,000 Palestinians are being denied the ability to leave Gaza for medical treatment, in what is being called "a slow-motion massacre"

What ceasefire?

Today, as Gaza continues to be stuck in a bloody limbo, we are turning our website over to Gaza and its people in an initiative we are calling “A Day for Gaza.” There will be no pieces published on our website today that do not come directly from Gaza.
