It is those who live in the states in the South and Midwest that ALREADY have the HIGHEST infant mortality and black babies who will suffer disproportionately as their state governors will like accede to ACIP's recommendation. 2/

I woke up this morning to see that many states across the country have decided to #REJECT the decision to scrap the #HBV vaccine birth dose by #ACIP. Here are some (alt-text included). But who will be left behind? 1/

Hepatitis B can be passed from parent to baby at birth - and when that happens, the consequences can be deadly. It is unscientific and dangerous to intentionally ignore the success of U.S. vaccination programs or argue that the U.S. should not vaccinate babies for hepatitis B at birth.
