I think Monster Hunter Wilds has this problem where they streamlined so much of the game that there is no reason to play the game.

I was thinking about making Battle Of The Bads my last tourney as a TO (until smash 6 comes out probably) cause its been hard to do literally anything while on this cancer treatment but seeing everyone have fun inspired me to keep going and at the very least finish the year.

Its such a crazy aura loss for your parents when you think you are cooking some secret family recipe only to find out its just the recommended recipe on the back of the box.

Something that weirds me out about the internet is that you can find a seemingly endless amount of people to discuss your special interest, no matter how old it is, so you never really have to move on from anything.

There's always a tough balance as an event organizer when investing your personal money into an event of like how would it be if we had X thing vs How much money is coming out of my pocket.

I have a private discord server with only my friends that are over 30 where we share insane posts from random people online and everyone else in the server reacts by saying the poster needs to get a job.

Thinking about how much of a cultural powerhouse the local Mcdonalds, Dennys and Taco Bell were in the small town I grew up in. Its probably the same across all of middle America.

Every now and then I do special stuff only for people that I've had exceptional experiences with at events. I like to think of it as positive reinforcement for good behavior. I think maybe in community driven spaces picking favorites can be good.

It kind of sucks having your primary hobbies be gaming and anime. Almost all of the discourse is lead by socially reclusive people, or literal children. For the most part I hate reading seeing takes about nearly any media I consume. I gotta get into some more positive, mature hobbies.

As everything gets worse I am pushed more towards the belief that "being online" is a net negative. It is so much harder to foster positive human connection compared to negative ones through online spaces. We gotta unplug the internet and return our humanity to our physical bodies.
