I can no longer work beam, much less feel comfortable on one, but that feeling of being centered, grounded, calm, aggressive, firm but fluid and prepared to adjust remains. I can feel its straightforward path and its precarious edges. The apprehension. The serenity. Life is a balance beam.

I am also very, very happy to be retired! Time with my husband is precious and sweet, and Finneas, our new puppy, really was the "missing piece." Our nearly 19 year old cat, Willow, has a companion now, and we feel joy every day. It's a "10" from me!

What did you do yesterday?

We celebrated Martin Luther King Day being productive (this art canvas photo of his "I Have a Dream" speech is displayed above our entryway) taking on an all-day project repositioning/rehanging our living room curtains 😊. It helps me get through hard days.
