I can no longer work beam, much less feel comfortable on one, but that feeling of being centered, grounded, calm, aggressive, firm but fluid and prepared to adjust remains. I can feel its straightforward path and its precarious edges. The apprehension. The serenity. Life is a balance beam.

I would love to hear your favorite moments, routines, skills, performances, or anything qualitative rather than quantitative, (in other words, not about over scoring) from this #NCAAGym season! Tell me what you LOVED, made you feel good, and/or look forward to at Nationals! Let's get a thread going!

Dear America,
Tyranny requires your fear, your silence, and your compliance.

Democracy requires your courage.

What a dystopian nightmare. My heart goes out to all the federal agencies and government workers whose public service, lives and their families' lives are being carelessly, recklessly, dangerously, ILLEGALLY dismantled by our "dear leader" and his evil "genius."

Good grief.
The Trump administration, moving quickly to clamp down on health and science agencies, has canceled a string of scientific meetings and instructed federal health officials to refrain from all public communications.

Thank you, Bishop Mariann Budde, for speaking human decency to power! You have an army of support out here.
“I had a feeling that there were people watching what was happening and wondering, Was anyone going to say anything?” Bishop Mariann Budde explained. “Was anyone going to say anything about the turn the country’s taking?”

So, she took a breath, and spoke.

Perfectly and prophetically (we hope) juxtaposed to the "I Have a Dream" piece of art is our dear friend, Marc Ross's painting entitled, "The Dreamer Awakes." Keep dreaming, keep believing, keep striving (and voting) for a brighter future for everyone, not just the privileged or fortunate few.

What did you do yesterday?

We celebrated Martin Luther King Day being productive (this art canvas photo of his "I Have a Dream" speech is displayed above our entryway) taking on an all-day project repositioning/rehanging our living room curtains 😊. It helps me get through hard days.

Well, what better day to begin "blue-skying" than Martin Luther King Day!

Hello everyone! 👋🥰
