Depends.... How much time you got? I used to try to self host everything and it would cost me in time: maintenance and learning. Now before I self-host I ask is there a cheap hosted option, do I need something customized for my use case, and a big enough reason to self host( like privacy).

But you haven't lived useless you burned your whole system to the ground by having multiple versions of python and then getting everything back working. I feel like a boss fixing a problem I caused and was warned about before doing 😆

I'm guessing it's because passing custom attributes are easier with saml. 🤷🏾‍♂️
