So much cool stuff to see at Everything Electric in Melbourne this weekend. Check out this camper conversion of the electric Farizon Supervan from Geely. This van has mains power as standard so converting it to a camper is a piece of cake. This one even has running water.

I count six chargers, meaning there'll soon be rapid charging here for EIGHTEEN clean vehicles at once.

I really enjoyed having the Leapmotor B10 last week. It's one of those cars that you can immediately adopt with no learning required. Full review video will be out shortly but I'll be doing a live review of one on Friday at Everything Electric in Melbourne if you want to get a sneak preview. 🤫

Was scoping out the floor plan for Everything Electric in Melbourne this weekend and did a double take/swore when I saw my own dropped pavlova face in the banner among the proper reviewers.

This $29,990 NZD ($16,957 USD) Dongfeng Box has so much room for a small EV. As well as having 326 km (202 miles) per charge, it's even got lie-flat front seats! It means you can pretend you're in a Maybach without the petrol bill. 😀

As we head into summer, remember to keep combustion vehicles away from dry grass as they have a tendency to do this.🔥
This happened in NZ and 28 vehicles were damaged. Hopefully combustion cars won't cause too many forest fires this season.

New Zealand has a NEW affordable electric car! This wee thing is called the Dongfeng Box and you can buy it today for $29,990 NZD for 326 km per charge. Its a surprisingly smart little car with more tech than I expected for the price. It even has Vehicle to Load. Tesla doesn't even have that!

Gotta say I'm really happy with how my '60s themed house is coming along. When I bought it I was worried how much it would cost to modernise everything but then I decided to just lean into it and go all in with the 1960s theme. Next thing is to get my new ('60s) oven working. 🤔

Gotta say Auckland Transport is getting better. Clean carriages, more trains, loads of staff on the ground walking around offering help. I know I've moaned about it for years but credit where it's due, it seems to be on the up and up. 👍

It's outdated and inferior but there's something special about mechanical, analogue media. Currently listening to Metallica on audio cassette on the train and even though it has less fidelity than my first wife it still sounds pretty neat. 😁

Interesting changes going on at ChargeNet's Bombay Hills hub. Looks like they are adding even more hyper-rapid chargers on both sides. That's fantastic. 😎

Who would have thought that the announcement of the BYD Atto 1 selling for under $30k NZD would anger so many people on Facebook? It's crazy. Me and the other moderator have removed so many seething comments from people who feel threatened by this smöl car. 🤷
