Speaking of coasters, did e we ever show you the presentation boxes that the sets of 4 come in? We’re very into slow production here, so we designed the boxes so that we can run the printed sheets through our cutting machine, and then fold and glue the them ourselves.

Awesome! And that's way less packaging than the horrifying amount you tend to get when you buy a takeaway bubble tea!

I shall have to try that! Yesterday I picked heaps of rhubarb that will be ice cream by dinner tonight :-)

We do still have Douglas Pharmaceuticals, who do some R&D as well as making generics. But I do hear you.

Guten Morgen!

Lucky you!! I've had such poor results cooking the dried tapioca ones myself (tried ~3 brands & a bunch of different cooking methods and always have them falling apart before cooked through) that I've given up. The ready-to-use ones here are mostly commercial quantities; the exceptions are pricey.

That's so fun!
It's late spring here and flowers are everywhere - here are pink daisies and a dahlia that were given to me by my SIL as a housewarming gift; ornathagulum from bulbs my aunty gave me from ones she got from my Gran's garden; and oxeye daisies in our kitchen - they grow wild everywhere!

Yay! I'm just back from a swim at Blockhouse Bay Beach and there were so many people there and such a chill vibe :-)

I'm a big fan of walking on firm sand. I grew up walking on beaches a lot and love all the cool things you find on the beach - like bits of driftwood and shells to take home, and birds to just watch. Soft sand is hard work, though. And sand was impossible when I used a wheelchair.

How wonderful!

Ah. The chap was so nice - from Riverview Motel in Whanganui. We had to cancel a family trip as my mum was in hospital and they didn't charge us a cent despite me cancelling very late. We were able to go a few weeks' later than planned and most definitely rebooked with them!

Also, I recently had to cancel a motel booking, and the first question they asked when I phoned them up was "did you book directly through us?". Apparently cancelling would have been much harder if I'd said 'no'.

So beautiful and so shiny!

No, I hadn't - thanks for that :-)

Gorgeous!

Earlier this week I was amazed to find two HUGE bird of paradise bushes blooming near my new apartment - tucked behind some other bushes on public land where I assume they self-seeded. I've been delighting in these three all week :-)
