I spent a couple of hours yesterday and built a basic “ghost data” blueprint for an Unreal Engine project. Recording/playback are currently manually triggered, although I plan to have it automatically save your best run later on

I know that doing updates via my own website will reduce my discoverability, but that’s already been extremely low due to my inconsistent posting. Also, I like the older school vibes of having everything on my own site

i think that the issue is that the github didn’t include meta files. the original folder i was working out of got corrupted and I already deleted it.

dashing/attacking is mostly functional again, outside of visual effects. i think the player is going too fast when coming out of the hit pause though...

another thing i'm taking the opportunity to do with this rewrite is move a lot of the collision handling from the player to the objects that the player is colliding with. the original collision code was possibly the messiest section (og onTriggerEnter was almost 100 lines!) so hopefully

i like a lot of the tracks i’ve made for accel. i’d like to find a way to release them out somehow (but also i’ll likely keep tweaking the songs on and off until i finish the game so maybe i should just wait?)
