A much closer pic featuring Justify and one of the derpy faces he often makes. The background is a lighter blue blanket plus stack of gray pet blankets and some closed window blinds. He looks either sleepy or half-stoned, mouth gapped open a bit. This pic shows his nose shape less clearly though does showcase a bruised nose, which is a bit of a life hazard for a wobblecat like Justify (iirc he'd tripped while jumping off the sofa and face-planted).

Justify once more, but in a different location! Now he's sitting on a multicolored blanket on a very dark blue sofa. Justify was originally sitting up facing me, but kinda slumped and curled over as he leaned into my head skritches, giving us yet another look at his odd nose shape.

Justify folded up oddly, with all of his feet pointing towards the lower right corner. His head is in profile, facing the upper right corner. Your Axl's nose shape is more pronounced than Justify's, but he's the first cat whose nose reminds me of Justify's!

Justify, an orange tabby with extensive white spotting, giving me funny looks from an odd angle whild laying on a fluffy, dark blue blanket in bed. He's facing towards the upper left corner of the image. Only one ear is visible, and he's purring with his mouth open because of his underbite. In particular, there's a bump in his nose which is just visible in this shot, giving his nose a slightly hooked shape.

I did not anticipate *this* result
A similar image to that in the prior reply, but zoomed out further. Justify is still under the laundry basket (right), but now the wooden box (left) is visible (it has holes on the top and sides for them to reach toys/treats through). Justify is confused as to how his tail escaped the basket but the rest of him is still trapped

I stumbled across a very good comic yesterday that I think you will love
Mini-comic comprised of three parts, stacked vertically Top: On the left is a Snom, a little white worm hanging out in its translucent ice shell. The Snom has spotted an Applin! Applin is a small green dragon noodle burrowed into a mostly-red leppa berry, you can only see its eyes and tail tip poking out Middle: SNYOOM! The Snom lunges, streeeeeetching to use Bug Bite* on the now-panicking Applin! Bottom: Snom-nom-nom! My resident "pineapple upside-down cat", Pharoah, sprawled mostly belly-up on a hardwood floor. He's laying next to my wooden stepstool (still edged in the glow-in-the-dark duct tape I applied in college). I describe him as an orange and white tabby, but most of his exposed fur is white in this image. Pharoah's be-sock'ed hind legs are pointing straight up in the air, while his front half twists to lay on his left shoulder, forepaws to the side as if frozen mid line dance. Pharoah is staring up at me, relaxed yet attentive, waiting for the impromptu photo shoot to conclude so pets and skritches can commence (and I promise you, he got *many* skritches)

An orange and white tabby cat (Pharoah) curled up with his Favorite Human for an afternoon nap on pale mint green bedsheets. The angle and composition make it look like he's taking a selfie. Pharoah's laying on his side, forehead preferentially smooshed against my left arm. His left foreleg is stretched out above my phone to expose both 1. vast tracts of fluffy white belly and 2. a peek of two toebeans on his other forepaw. He's waiting for me to resume the good neck sckritches, while his tongue covertly attempts to flee the zip code.

Cat tax time

Pharoah (top, black collar) is only half-loafed and half-laying on his front, his front legs stretched far out in front of him so he can covertly knead the blanket. He looks like a very strange, fluffy pear, and is definitely the "big" brother.

Anywho, cat tax! (Justify and Pharoah jamming their combined ~35lbs into/onto a cat bed made for maybe half that)

Justify (left) is trying entirely too hard to look innocent, but he's also digging his paws into his brother's belly. Pharoah (right) is incredibly grumpy, his own front paws also pushing into his brother's belly, though his achy rear leg is draped over Justify's butt. Moments prior, they were grumbling and thumping their tales; their temporary sorta-ceasefire is because they are being Observed. The bed sits on a reddish-brown laminated wood floor next to a black litter mat, a black litter enclosure, and some gray honeycomb tiling.

Mine're social eaters and very much my shadows; if I'm not careful, they also follow me into the bathroom (Pharoah in particular tries to crawl into my pants or become fuzzy slippers)

Finally got a fresh copy of the recipe! Rose's Crescents!

Swapping almond flour in for white flour works well, and you can substitute the sugar for a baking-compatible artificial sweetener

(Original version of recipe transcribed in alt text for ease of access + copypasta)
Rose's Crescents Ingredients: - Blanched, sliced almonds (2/3 cup; 56g) - Sugar (1/3 cup; 66g) - Unsalted butter (1 cup; 227g) - Bleached all-purpose flour (1 2/3 cups, dip + sweep method; 235g) - Salt (1/4 tsp) Topping: - Superfine sugar (1/2 cup; 100g) - Cinnamon (1/2 tsp) Pick Food Processor OR Electric Mixer Method Food Processor Method: In food processor with metal blade, process the almonds and sugar until the almonds are ground very finely. Cut the butter into a few pieces and add it with the motor running. Process until smooth and creamy. Scrape the sides of the bowl. Add the flour and sprinkle the salt on top. Pulse in just until the flour is incorporated. Electric Mixer Method: Soften the butter. Grind the almonds very finely. In a large mixing bowl, combine the almonds, butter, and sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Stir together the flour and salt and beat them into the mixture, on low speed, until incorporated For Both Methods: Scrape the dough onto a piece of plastic wrap, press it into a thick disc, wrap it tightly, and refrigerate about 2 hours or until the dough is firm. For the topping, stir together the sugar and cinnamon until uniform in color. Place 2 oven racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven. Preheat oven to 325 F. Divide the dough into 8 portions. Work with 1 section at a time, keeping the remainder of the dough refrigerated. Knead the dough between floured hands until malleable. Pinch off a portion of the dough and roll it into a 3/4-inch round ball. On a lightly floured counter, roll each ball into a cylinder with tapered ends, about 3 inches long by 1/2 inch thick. Form each cylinder into a crescent shape and place on the cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes or until set but not brown. For even baking, rotate the cookie sheets from top to bottom and front to back halfway through the baking period (Recipe continues) Taken from pg 57-58 of Rose's Christmas Cookies (compiled by a jewish woman, btw!) Continuation of recipe for Rose's Crescents Cool the cookies on the sheets for 10 minutes. While they are still warm, use a small, angled metal spatula or pancake turner to lift them from the sheet and dip them, 1 at a time, in the cinnamon sugar, turning gently to coat all over. Finish cooling the cookies on wire racks Store: In an airtight container at room temperature, or in the refrigerator or freezer (if chilling, seal in airtight freezer-safe bags with air removed, or airtight containers with a piece of wax paper crumpled on top) Keeps: 1 month at room temperature, 1 month refrigerated, or several months frozen Smart Cookie (tips): - Superfine sugar can be prepared easily in a food processor by processing granulated sugar for a few minutes or until it is as fine as sand. This produces a finer, more pleasant topping for the cookies. - Allow the cookie sheet(s) to cool completely before using for the next batch - Distribute the cookies evenly around the cookie sheet. My dingus and I went to a couple of friends' house for a pumpkin-carving party today!

I have a story about my dearly departed old man sneezy cat (with cat tax, of course) which I hope gives you a chuckle at least

We adopted Oscar when I was in middle school, a year after another family cat had died, when our household was down to one cat for the first time in my life
Oscar, an aging brown tabby cat, curled up happily on his heating pad. You get the sense he's half-blind, and can clearly see one stopped-up sinus. He's realized his favorite human is home to visit him and is waiting for pics to be done so he can cuddle and sneeze on me

Sounds like a more intense version of Justify!

He "whuffles" a lot, and snores even when awake sometimes. His sinuses don't seem to work particularly well, and his sleeping positions don't always help him

I tend to describe his snores as wannabe-gentle

Solidarity and oooooooooooof (my right shoulder's been pitching a nerve pain tantrum for the past ~1.5 weeks after I hurt myself sneezing, am right handed, grip strength is a myth, it's only just starting to abate)
