When I was 25 I was sad I had not written The Great American Novel. At 55, I realize there's no Great American Novel, there are merely the stories I'm the best person to tell. Don't worry about how others see greatness. Work on being the best version of who you are and what you can do in the world.

Realizing my personal beliefs in autonomy did not match up with the Missouri Synod beliefs. They are anti-choice, anti-queer, etc.
The feeling of not belonging in a space that once felt so comforting has kept me away.

My dad was tortured by the Gestapo for 4 days and thrown in a concentration camp for being in the Norwegian Resistance. Growing up, he would tell me things he learned in the Resistance. I thought, I'm never going to need this stuff. Here's some of those things #Thread

Just finished reading The Beast Takes a Bride by Julie Ann Long.
Historical recommended by @fatedmates.net
I felt too dumb to read this book. I stared at words and didn’t understand. Sadly it took me right out of the book.
