Each night, Coconut sits on my lap, purring and staring at me with adoration, often reaching her little paws up to touch my face. Unfortunately, it's always when I sit down to eat dinner. My dinner is always cold by the time I get to it. A small price to pay, truly.

Per tradition, made my husband a tricolor cookie cake for his birthday. We both agreed that "birthday" felt like the right sentiment this year. Also my ganache was too thick to pour and I gave up on being neat, but it still tasted good.
