I finished this hat for @brambleunderhill.bsky.social today! The yarn doesn't photograph well, because it's velour and feels like velvet. There are pipe cleaners in the brim to give it some structure. I got the yarn Thursday night.

I don't want anyone to get too excited, but there were workers outside the subdivision. Replacing the power poles is a good start, but untangling and reconnecting the wires isn't quite so easy, I suspect.

An open ATM would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath. Other than that, the only things we need are already being worked on. I saw electric trucks from NJ, which made me smile. I'm just trying to keep my spirits up. Hope your brother is doing as well as possible, it got scary.

We're in NC for @brambleunderhill.bsky.social's family reunion and we've seen burros, goats, and peacocks so far.

Re cafeteria: the hospital layout is confusing, I think because it expanded in stages. B's room is approximately where the 1 (MRI) marker is on the map, but on a different floor. I walked from there to the D elevator, took it down to the second floor, then took the B to the first floor.
