Huh I always assumed ‘reactionary’ as a political term originated from Marxism but it actually goes back to the French Revolution (the 1790s one). The more you know.

Sunshine is a really great movie with a weirdly stacked cast (Cillian Murphy, Chris Evans, Michelle Yeoh, Benedict Wong, Hiroyuki Sanada) and some very interesting genre ambiguity about whether it’s straight up sci fi or cosmic horror. I’d really recommend it if you haven’t seen it.

The Hero of Darkness was a poet, or a teacher, or both. Some stories say she was Fate given mortal form, or maybe Death. Or merely an ordinary citizen who was caught up in events far beyond her ken, and fought her way through them with dignity and grace.

Fun Gra fact: I scripted and almost performed a trailer for the 1.0 release of Caves of Qud. This is the future you could have had if Kitfox weren't so focused on "actually selling the game" and "marketability to an audience of regular people"

Visiting snapjaw family is the pits. Every year they ask, “Gra, why don’t you quit being a VTuber and come home?” but don’t wanna hear that I’d rather play Caves of Qud than simply live there.

Kitty Fun Lore Fact of the Day: Marek’s humongous trench coat originally belonged to his mentor Arish, and Marek inherited it upon Arish’s untimely demise (ie pulled it off his corpse). Marek is super attached to it! Plus it swooshes ominously in the wind and has tons of space to hide more swords.
