i draw in my free time and my full-time job is not art related.

my preferred media is watercolors, alcohol-based markers, acrylic markers, ink of various colors and gel pens for accents. lost in the scans are effects like neon, glow in the dark and glitter.

Fantastic palaeoart in a traditional Chinese style, used as a figure in a Royal Society publication, describing a false sabre-tooth feline, Taotienimravus songi. I hope this buckles the trend again "stylised" art in publications and press releases.

TIL i am apparently the only person in the universe to dislike "people watching". i cannot think of anything being possibly more boring. during christmas, my job gives me plenty of of opportunities to watch people on the streets and my god. mind numbing.

This is probably the largest art I've made in a long time; it's 16x48 inches at 300dpi. All of the animals are inspired by petroglyphs and cave art from around the world on top of the shapes found within the animals themselves. #art #caveart #petroglyph #deer #wolves #ravens #raven #wolf #elk
The artwork is made up of many different petroglyph-inspired animal figures. The animals are all moving to the left. In the foreground you see three wolves and four ravens chasing after two bull elk and one doe in fairly dark lines. In the background are similar style elk that use smaller artwork and lighter lines to represent being further away. All the foreground animals have gold foil circles into their design around their heart's location and airway location. The entire piece has been given a distressed treatment.

pictures from my daytrip to the barberini museum to visit their unicorn exhibition. it was a really great exhibit with various themed rooms. from the unicorn's roots in asia as a wild beast (most likely coming from being mistaken with the rhino), to of course a lots of christian art.

a remade "my little pony" custom toy, turning it into an "accurate" unicorn with a lion's tail and cloven hooves, with air-drying clay and acrylics.

i couldn't avoid the tail breaking in a few places, oh well. the worst part was painting the eyes. absolute horror. wouldn't recommend.
