I've come across fanfic that's better written than the source material. Fics that span hundreds of chapters. Fics I've read 20 years ago I still think about & mourn I didn't download. ALL fanfic should be celebrated because it's a product of somebody's love & passion that they decided to share w us
Assuming all fanfiction is written poorly really just shows you've never been caught in the chokehold of a 150k slowburn that changed the course of your life at 2:40am written by someone whose username has 4 Zs in it and they only wrote one fic and then vanished like an ethereal legend.

If I were planning Variety’s Actors on Actors, I’d put Demi Moore and Sebastian Stan together because their work in The Substance and A Different Man similarly rely on what they don’t say and hold in their facial expressions in response to preconceived notions. I’d love to see them unpack that.
