Thank you to @clivejonesmp.bsky.social and the 42 MPs who signed this letter in support of our #AndYoungPeople campaign
42 MPs and I are backing @teenagecancertrust.bsky.social's #AndYoungPeople campaign - the National Cancer Plan needs to consider the unique needs of young people with cancer. That's why we've written to the Health Secretary to urge him to listen to young people's voice and act upon what they say.

We’re already working closely with the Government to give our expertise (you can read more about this on our website). But by signing our open letter and helping raise awareness you can help ensure the needs of young people with cancer aren’t forgotten at this critical time.

So why does the National Cancer Plan matter? Health plans are not just shiny documents – they're about real people’s real lives. What’s included in these plans has a long-lasting impact on people’s healthcare.

Today's Spring Statement was a chance for UK Government to support children and young people with cancer with the extra costs that come with a diagnosis.

Our CEO @rachelkirby.bsky.social shares her reflections on how the statement missed the mark for the families we support.
