Hope you dodge the worst of it. I've family just over on the mainland. I'm right in the middle of England (Sheffield), but even here we've had tree and roof damage in some places.

Any recommendations on the science front?

It was also quite reassuring that I think so far we're approaching this "right". It's a really really key message that there has to be a "new normal" after recovery, and it's going to take considerable time to figure out what that looks like (which the formal education system makes incredibly hard).

My copy arrived yesterday and I binge read quite a chunk of it already to support my son (who's a bit young for it directly). Any thoughts on places to go for support for parents managing this within the reality of the non home-ed education system to get sufficient "space" for recovery?
