Ohh, excellent! I’d happily eat all the marzipan off the Xmas cake so my kind of flavour!! I’ll pick some up next time near Sainsbury’s. I used to prefer puff pastry but mostly buy shortcrust ones now - though I will bravely try as many as possible to find the ultimate mince pie!! 😁

Aldi (‘perfect Christmas’, deep filled mince pies ) - really good! Lots of filling, great texture, nice flavour. Pastry v good but just a touch soggy on inside. Personally, I’d like just a touch more spices coming through. 4/5
