Here in downtown NA they decided to close the school at half 11, just as the weather was at its worst. It’s worst being 20 mins of snow. Woke indeed.

I’d suggest that the disruption warning is just sent to cover all possibilities. Sure if it’s just a few degrees below zero it’ll be a near normal service.

I worked through the Beast from the East. We still ran trains. In circumstances like that you find there are very few people travelling anyway

That and chronic lack of investment. See: previous governments.

If “it” happens more often then it is more worthwhile investing to allow you to cope with “it”.

“It” being all manner of sins; heat, ice, snow.

If it snows 100 days a year you have a business case. If it might snow 5 days your business case is weak.
