Many thanks to the PhD students of the Max Planck Unit for the Science of Pathogens (MPUSP) for the invitation to their summer retreat in Schwerin. Great science, nice scenery for the morning runs and its fantastic to reconnect with some old friends/colleagues/mentors.

Nothing better than getting a visit of a former PhD student (Manuel Iburg) who has finished his first postdoc in Houston and is now heading to Cambridge, UK with a Marie Curie Fellowship to start his second postdoc. It was great having you Manuel for a talk and a reunion celebration.

Excited to expand the cooperation with Holger Bierhoff beyond the local running trails of Jena with the support of a Life Connect grant of @uni-jena.de to work on the role of rRNA activity in neurodegeneration.
