An independent media is vital for democracy. Access to information enables all people to make decisions and hold the powerful to account.

Here's video from Sean being hit. This is what a lot of videos from the victim's perspective look like, both in recent protests but also over the last few years when law enforcement shoot at journalists. No apparent reason to do this. bsky.app/profile/acat...
This is @melbuer.bsky.social on Sean’s account, posting here since it’s his video: the moment that Sean and @ryannemena.bsky.social were injured by what may have been a tear gas canister fired from a line of HSI officers in Paramount, CA.

BREAKING: Federal agents in plain clothes and unmarked cars tried to snatch 1st graders from LA elementary schools—told staff they had “parental consent.”

They lied. When pressed, they HID THEIR IDS. DHS admits they sent them. This wasn’t a welfare check. It was a test run for a police state.

No #Eurovision, we don’t platform a fascist state (mid-genocide) and we don’t physically assault young anti-fascist protestors.

Shame on Europe. 80 years and nothing learned.
Huge respect for Youth Demand, who disrupted Israel's performance at #Eurovision tonight. ✊🏽🇵🇸

During genocide it cannot be business as usual.

We NEED civil disobedience & resistance of the status quo en masse.

Marches alone aren't enough.

The aim is to disrupt.

One way to commemorate the end of the third year of Russia’s senseless, criminal war against Ukraine is to read the work of Ukrainians about it. Vika did not live to see the publication of this book, since she was killed by a Russian missile. But we can see her in her words.
