I have had the audiobook of A Kind of Magic hanging around in my library for ages @annaspargoryan.bsky.social. I am finally reading it (sorry). I just cannot find the words. Beautifully written and read, and funny as fuck. 🤷‍♀️

Well, that was exciting. I have never heard a sonic boom before. But, being 7.30pm and having no context, it was bloody scary for a second. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-08...
'Thought it was a plane crash': Meteor shakes houses across Victoria
The meteor was seen across Victoria just after 7:30pm on Sunday, with some observers describing a large, bright object and a loud boom.

I am like a toddler on Christmas Day. Hurry up T-Bone and get out of bed! I need to see my card, and the track listing for KizzaMatronica Partymixonica 11.

T is sitting on the couch reading a comic book. This is not unusual. What is unusual is that it is a 3Dcomic, and he is reading it with a pair of Barbie 3D glasses <3 The man is adorbs.

So, the doctor has spoken. Yup, I have sleep apnea.

36 hours on meloxicam, and Hamish is already moving his tail so much better.

Hamish is glaring at me as he knows I have doped him with something more than his usual medication. Yes, lovie, we are off to the vet for both a vaccination and blood tests. #SorryKitteh.

Well, my keto clinical trial can't start for another 6ish weeks, as I need to nudge my medication. While I want to bite the bullet and get it happening, I am quite glad I won't be on keto for my birthday. :)

Today I found out that my Dad is giving me a brand new iMac that is surplus to his needs. This will be the first 🍎 I have used since Dad's Macintosh Classic II in the late '80s.

I am trying to get back to a normal sleeping pattern as I am still playing catch up after my sleep study induced crappy night's sleep. But, a nap with Hamish sounds pretty bloody good right now.

God, I am glad to be home.

Well, I will be giving them lots of data to work with. Trackwork turned a 3 hour public transport trip to my sleep study, a 4.5 hour trip.

Well, some of my super damaged fruit trees got a VERY hard prune yesterday. With the added joy of a couple of arsehole roses taken out of our prime food growing space.

At 11 a.m., one of the birdbaths still had a layer of ice. A friend is on her way with chainsaws for getting rid of some roses and hard pruning of other trees. Luckily, I have soup in the slow cooker. :/

Late last week, we received our new to us tape deck, but we had to wait for a Japanese step-down transformer. It has arrived, and they (and the newish (also to us) amp are glorious!
June 11, 2025 at 11:58 PM
Our new (to us) dual tape deck arrived on Thursday. We go through them, helped by us often getting them from opshops and not in the best of nick. Anyway, this baby (Sony TC-WE475) is looking schmicko. But we have to wait until we get a step-down converter as it came from Japan.

TBone is happily off his tits. He is sitting on the couch, cuddling Hamish and reading a book of Nancy cartoons. The report is in, 4 polyps removed, all of which are benign/pre cancerous.

In super awesome news, on a 10°c max day, my new Oodie outdoor coat is arriving. So my hospital shenanigans while T is sleeping will be toasty ones.
June 5, 2025 at 10:35 PM
For T's sake, I am really looking forward to his colonoscopy to be over. We'll deal with the results, whatever they may be. But last night was tough for the poor chook. On the good side, a friend is not only picking us up, she is leaving us with a lasagne.
June 5, 2025 at 9:59 PM
Yesterday was T's low fibre day. Today is breakfast by 9am, then his prep drinks and clear fluids day. It will be a hard couple of days for the poor bugger.
June 4, 2025 at 2:08 PM
We are meeting up with a JP today for our EPOAs and MTDMs. That will be the end of our current onslaught of adulting responsibilities. Well, until T's colonoscopy next Friday.

After my final social work placement in a local hospital, I swore I would arrange my enduring power of attorney, and medicat treatment decision maker sooner rather than later. We are at the wrangling of attorneys/appointees/JPs for the signing portion of the project. 😢

And, the Oodie is coming out for the first time this winter.

What a day! A stitch and bitch, followed by a catch up with T's band mate from back in the day, (yes...that band), that by his mere existence saved him from a nervous breakdown.
