The Museum of Hunting and Nature in Paris is pretty unusual. They have a bunch of taxidermied large animals (polar bears, lions, deer) that you can walk right up to, rooms with drawers and walls full of weapons with notes on their provenance (mostly old nobles’ collections), art of wild creatures.

it’s like a kid’s cartoon of piracy! People get shot and moments later are making out and climbing the rigging!
