Absolutely right. Jesus, and the guy you're responding to is a former prosecutor who should bloody well know better than to make such a blanket statement.

Amid all the vitriol (absolutely justified), that one "Bless him" was like a shaft of light beaming from his dad.

Such a charming movie! A longtime favorite of my family.
a man and a woman are standing next to each other and smiling .
Alt: A man (played by Cary Grant) and a woman (Myrna Loy) are standing next to each other and smiling. This is a clip from the film, "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House."

Gotcha. I just meant to explain why I wanted to focus on something that meant a lot to me (& a small group of others too). J&I were my favorite soap pair. (Used to be Jack/Jen but w/decades of mistreatment... a girl can only take so much!)

As I mentioned in my OP, yours was a 💗💔💗 tribute! Lovely.

The only way they'll take em dashes away is from my cold dead hands. I use them like others use commas.

It takes more than an em dash to be an AI "tell," and if professors don't recognize it, shame on them.

Thank you, Steve. Imagine, all this sudden letter-of-the-law BS from a guy who still believes he can declassify documents just by thinking about it.

Chilling. I'm reminded of the scene in Schindler's List where the concentration camp workers are meant to be transported back to Schindler's factory & relative safety. While the men arrive, the women/children are taken on a separate train "accidentally" rerouted to Auschwitz.
