If you run the original code by putting it in a file and calling that file by command line you'll get the correct output. If you use a live interpreter, PowerShell or otherwise, to do print("anything", end="") you get "hing" with the first four overwritten with ">>> "

I did it myself and got the same result as you. The problem is a combination of end="" in the print function and running this in a live interpreter. The live interpreter inserts ">>> " at the start of each line, and that happens AFTER the print statement, overriding the first 4 characters.

I put the original code into two separate online python interpreters and they both printed out 123.
You may have had a typo when you did it if you didn't get an output.

yes this is why I qualified my statement excluding the rude and aggressive ones. if you're rude and aggressive it doesn't matter if you're backseating or not you should quit that shit out. if someone is being polite, though, it seems unfair to treat that attempt at connection with equal vitriol
