My arm one is a guy in Birmingham who's on insta as billyplantestattoo - was really good at adapting the design I had and super quick with the machine when we'd worked it out - he's got some cool medieval woodcut cats and a load of goth castle things now I think

My two thigh pieces are by people in Bristol - livslines and switchsurgeon (on insta) - both incredible designs and really nice people - livslines more swirly - mix of handpoke and machine - and switchsurgeon does these blocky semi-trad designs, all handpoke when I got it but think machine too now?

Extra depressing cos whoever's behind it has done the work of having the idea for a funny song, made the lyrics fit an existing song, etc, and then rather than go to some musicians (or just record it themselves, it's like shanty style so literally designed for untrained singers) they make slop

I think a few of us of a certain age remember her from the (otherwise awful) final pierce brosnan bond film, Die Another Day, in which she basically kicks the shit out of bond with a sword. I saw this aged 11 and (predictably) fancied the pants off her immediately 🙃 (also gone girl, great film)
