In the garden we have explored forces by flying our kites, finding autumnal objects, using mathematical language to explore measuring and making lots of yummy treats in the mud kitchen.

In the quiet room we have been exploring The Leaf Man, where the learners have created their own interpretation using a storyboard format 🍂🍃🌿🍁🧡

In the music room children have enjoyed doing YMI, children have also used there creativity to make a giant clock and using there bodies to show the correct time, also enjoying using different animals to re enact the rhyme.

In the music room children have continued their interest in Hickory Dickery Dock, children have used their creativity to stand on the correct numbers of the clock and create there own mice to re enact the rhyme.

In the big room blockside we have investigated other ways to measure ourselves and objects. We have baked delicious blueberry and apple pies in our home corner.

In the garden this week our learners have been continuing to explore mathematic language using transient art and Big and Small! Our leaners have been exploring their forces using their bodies and objects. We have also been developing our self help skills when putting on suits, wellies and jackets☔️😁

Learners have continued their interest in the story ‘Leaf Man’ by drawing their own leaf men using the illustrations from the book to give them ideas. The learners have been noticing the different colours and shapes of the leaves throughout the story and have been discussing this between each other.

In the main playroom (door side) the learners continued to further develop their directional language by using beebots. We have researched maps and town planning, creating their own interpretations

Following the continuing interest in Autumn and the book, Leaf Man the learners have been for a Autumn walk to collect resources to make their own Leaf Man.🍁🍂Also some learners have been exploring the book, Paper Chase and made their very own paper. 🌳🗒

In the music room children have continued their interest in traditional nursery rhymes with a particular focus, this week, on Hickory Dickory Dock. Children have used their creativity to make their own clock and use these props to re-enact the rhyme.
