Beinn Airigh Charr is a fantastic hill. Not a bad one to camp on too.

Hang on in there - normal service will be resumed on Monday.

Looking at that I wonder precisely which 5 hills the "5 Sisters" are.

I'd been told it was the 5 high tops visible along Loch Duich (the 5th not seen on the right here), but it would make more sense if the 4 pointy high tops and Sgurr an t-Searraich at the front were the 5.

The video of the capture of the first two had them sitting looking interested with someone a few feet away - no way these are wild lynx.

Shameful to release cats like this that are trusting and likely used to being fed.

Absolute recipe for disaster (for the cats).

Be interested to hear how that goes - I see an X-dome 2 is in the pipeline.

...but if you imagine that there is a business case to attract thousands of skiers' wallets/day to the Cairngorm ski area then some form of uplift will be part of the system.

Whether that is a viable business model any more is open to debate.

Whether Strathspey needs it is another open debate.

Oh, personally I think the funicular is the Sunk Cost Fallacy given flesh - certain people and institutions seem determined to sustain it at any cost (not their cost of course, ours).

It should have been demolished when they did their dodgy review of demolition/repair costings. White elephant.

To be fair, local politicians aren't really interested in folks who visit, ascend a hill and return under their own steam other than in terms of money left behind for food/accommodation.

So it's really "large numbers of people won't pay money to skin up a hill and ski down - you need an uplift"

The Sunk Cost Fallacy given existence.

On the contrary - it's a "think about it but don't do it" day.

Like quite a lot of weekends this year.

The last walk always has to do til the next opportunity.

Nice selection of camps. Haven't camped nearly enough this year, but on the plus side I haven't bought any new tents for a while!

Lovely, and imaginative.

....is that across one of these guys?

Always seems odd knowing Sgurr a Mhaim and Bod an Deamhain are 1000m Munros - but look very small from Braeriach and Macdui.

Nice view of the rock strata on Beinn a Mhuinidh - good hill to camp on.

Is that above Kenmore looking at the eastern Glen Lyon hills?

Good to highlight. Landowning/gamekeeping interests have been utilising slick PR and misdirection techniques for years.

They're on a hiding to nothing if they present their concerns transparently so they message in hiding.

Deer keds can be brutal in Kintail in October.

I think this individual should be rendered down to component parts for the greater good and turned into an insect repellant! ;)
