I wonder if those 8 Senators have realized yet what everyone else already knew? They've apparently had brain trauma and forgot that you're dealing with the GOP. They will adhere to the "deal" until they can get away with a new vote to end all the things they agreed to. So incredibly dumb.

I'm still of the opinion that stays should be issued to prevent ongoing harm while we decide the legality of something. The idea that we allow the Trump admin to starve people while we determine if it's legal is another reason why the Roberts court will go down as most corrupt in history.

Someone should ask the GOP how many immigrants we have to send to detention centers before they'll move on to fixing the parts of Medicare that are not related to the "fraud" they're "fixing". Surely they don't think existing Medicare with fewer immigrants is perfect.

It was probably too early to take peace in the middle east victory laps after 1 day. Just generally looking at history. Then, also, just looking at headlines.

We should have higher standards for people to be Supreme Court justice. This batch isn't living up to the requirements of the job.

When are we going to learn that runaway financial success does not in any way mean that person is intelligent and for sure does nothing to ensure that the person has any knowledge about anything other than what made them wealthy - although there's no guarantee they know anything about that either.

I'm not sure that traditional media outlets can survive the way they're handling the Charlie Kirk coverage. The WSJ, NYT, WaPo, FOX, MSNBC, CNN, etc. are dead. Seems like this is the event that severs trust. Too hard to reconcile who Kirk really was with these tributes.

I imagine that it gave Charlie Kirk great pleasure to die as a martyr to the god of death he worshipped. I wish instead he could have died another way: of old age, peacefully, in a country where all his work had come to nothing, and he himself completely forgotten.

I finally figured out what it was about Mark Cuban's offer to Musk and by extension the America Party. We all knew it was going to be more right wing. But Cuban still gives Musk another shot with open mindedness. Musk doesn't deserve another shot and especially not right away.

It will never stop being funny to me that Ted Cruz gets talked about as a top tier debater in college. Actual good college debate people don’t think he’s was or is good. His skills as an academic debater were and are a joke. He thrived in a format that reward the ability to bullshit and gaslight.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

What if the political belief you're being persecuted for is that fraud is good? Prosecution is election interference for all of those candidates. OMG. It's a giant loophole. Those clever bastards win now I guess.

Trump's take on stealth meaning invisible is very similar to his belief that asylum is a mental institution. He's either lost it or never knew it in the first place. Either one.

Apparently, the MOST efficient way to run a government is to do a bunch things and then scramble to undo them as you find out that you shouldn't have done them in the first place. It's a model that will talked about with reverence for generations.
