As a lifelong resident of Minneapolis, it pains me that with the progress law enforcement is making in trying to right its wrongs, as slow as it is, but still progress, that the ICE murder will most likely reinforce the idea that our "protectors" would just as easily kill us as help us.

Watching today's NFL games today, it's becoming clearer that the referees are in the pockets of the betting sites and trying to control the outcomes of games. Maybe even the league itself.

It's very telling about our state of the 4th Estate in that there was nary a mention of the protests all around the US and Europe against the rise of the Right. We are truly in the worst of times for freedom and Democracy, not just in America, but the world.
