This all assumes it's a real business, as opposed to a way to funnel money to Trump and his family and friends. It's 90% the latter and 10% a vanity project for Trump to post shit on and feel important. It will never make money and was never intended to.

I'm dumb - is the point of the tariffs to punish countries into lowering tariffs on imports from the US or is it to artificially increase the price of imports so domestic producers can compete? Because these are two different things, right?

One of the neat things about getting old is watching culture recycle. This article reminded me how we went through all this 'manliness' business back in the 90's with Robert Bly. It's a lot uglier this time around, of course.

Pretty sure if this happened today, this guy would get a Presidential medal of honor and a prime-time spot at CPAC.
