They were both very popular episodes. Four people, including you said ESS was their favorite, and it was in my top 3, but Pokemon-athon was 3 people's favorite including one of the people on the panel so it was two popular episodes. I voted for ESS, but both episodes are very beloved.

This is genuinely something I had the idea to do months ago, and was super excited, but also have been stressing about it being good the whole time, so the fact that it finally happened, and was a blast has been emotional. Make sure to check the VOD if you have like... 10 hours to spare.

The characters, the worldbuilding, the fairly simple plot (at this point anyway), it was all very charming. I'm very excited to play more of these, especially with how good I hear 2 is.

I honestly feel like this game has aged better than I had heard. The only real issue I had was area design, I got lost CONSTANTLY! But the movement and combat I thought felt really good, and there were some bosses especially in the coliseum that were fun to fight, and got my gamer brain going.

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix

Another game I've wanted to play for a long time. One of the wildest crossovers of all time, but clearly a successful one, and I genuinely appreciate how it's from a time, where this concept was allowed to take itself serious, and just be a sincere story.

Also, an absolutely brilliant OST. The catchy song that plays in the entrance area is a favorite, but tracks can range from upbeat, to moody, to rockin', to melancholy. This game really did live up to it's reputation, an absolute masterpiece, and I'm already excited thinking about replaying it.

Along with the gameplay style, it also feels like Metroid could have inspired the atmosphere too. Castlevania's dark, spooky aesthetic is used to perfect effect here, with many dark, moody areas. Shoutouts to the Outer Wall area, especially when it's raining, I really loved being there.

Despite the better movement, a lot of that deliberate feeling combat is still there, but with the action RPG style combat system, you can level up or find better equipment to beat the odds. Getting stronger in this game feels very satisfying, especially mowing through rooms that used to seem so hard
