Another game I've wanted to play for a long time. One of the wildest crossovers of all time, but clearly a successful one, and I genuinely appreciate how it's from a time, where this concept was allowed to take itself serious, and just be a sincere story.

(hopefully this works, I've had issues with gifs working on this site)

As someone who loves the PS1, and loves Super Metroid, it's kinda wild that I had yet to play this one. But with my newfound love of Castlevania in recent times, this seemed like a perfect game to play for October, and what a ride it was.

Another difficult classic Castlevania adventure. A very technically impressive game for the NES, especially in 1989, it was very solid presentation-wise. It had a lot of the very deliberate and challenging level design of the first game... with some odd decisions.

Another solid entry into the Ace Attorney series. A step up from Apollo Justice, this game has multiple protagonist, each coming in and out of the story as needed, to solve cases. And it's pretty good the whole way through.

A manga that's sort of a reimagining of the first couple arcs of the Pokemon anime. It will present a story with the same characters and initial plot of a notable episode, but everything that unfolds is a very interesting interpretation.

It's been a long time coming. I genuinely was anticipating this show when it was about to come out, and I watched and enjoyed it, for many seasons. Then, Cartoon Network continued to suck and the schedule was an inconsistent nightmare, and I fell off.

The final entry in Zero Escape saga, and it's all been building to this moment. After waiting for years, the satisfying ending that answers all of your questions, and wraps everything up cleanly... didn't actually happen, and instead, this happened.

This game dares to ask "What if Donkey Kong for the arcade was a Game Boy game, where Mario had way more movement options, and instead of ending at level 4, it had like a hundred more levels, where you solve puzzles to get a key to a door, or fight DK directly?"

This sort of serves as the end of the original series, but also leads into the Future stuff. A very good looking, well animated movie, with great songs, some of the best in the series, that explores who all the gems are as characters

I was worried going in, especially after that very "We live in a society" preview image dropped, but I was so happy that this revival genuinely just felt like these characters coming home, without missing a beat. It just feels like King of the Hill, but they're older.

It probably doesn't shock you to know I'm a huge Donkey Kong fan, and as someone who even enjoyed his last 3D outing (a smart person), I was looking forward to seeing the next go at it, in what looked like a spiritual successor to Super Mario Odyssey.

Blue - Already own, not re-buying
Green - Fairly interested
Orange - Interested in trying the series, will probably try it if I do
