Indeed I’m fearful. We aren’t testing much any more. We’re firing everyone in govt who can help and stripping funding from academic & industry scientists who can fill the gaps. H5N1 is a real threat & US policy puts us all at risk. Me & colleagues Kay Russo, Kamran Khan, & Keith Poulsen discuss👇🏻
The severe ice rain event in Ontario has left many w/o power, cell service or internet. Be patient & kind to those working hard to restore power and those in the call centres. Crews are working hard in some dangers situations. They haven’t been able to access all areas because of fallen trees.

Heavy rain here in #BarrieON overnight and this morning. Ice is already building up on the tree branches. Roads in Ontario will be hazardous. Be prepared for power outages by charging your phones, making sure your flashlights work, & you have food that doesn’t have to be cooked. #ONStorm
