I’m exhausted. We’re all exhausted.
Being disabled is a 24/7 job. There’s no breaks. No vacation. No raises.
No one would do his for the “perks” because there aren’t any.
We deserve good healthcare, housing and an affordable living wage. We don’t get that.

Disability is not a choice.
I miss the old me too, but this is my reality now.
I’m proud of who I’ve become, but I am suffering.
I’m exhausted and in pain every day. I can’t do most of the things that used to come naturally to me. I’m dependent on caregivers.

Autistic people are -thorough- and are literally going through the criteria and trying to talk themselves -out- of it usually either because they don’t want that diagnosis or because of imposter syndrome.

For most people who are past childhood, there usually aren’t many circumstances they’d get a DX -without- being self diagnosed first and pushing for one!
