Here's something I've been trying to do for a while. A full customizable trail that follows my character's sword perfectly. Right now I can change the texture, size and color. But hopefully more to come on this one.

Took me a little while to get this working nicely. But I created this with a Unity Particle system and a bit of code. Trying to expand my toolset by learning how to code with the Particle System.

Told you I was working on fish.
I made this particle system a while ago and decided to improve it with some fish and textures. The bubbles look dumb, but that's ok.

I added some color to this ripple effect for a bit of an easier time reading what's going on. I think it's pretty cool, I'll have to elaborate on this thing a bit more soon.

I should be working on my class, but I got distracted playing with this hologram stuff.
I made it so that when a particle collides with Monke there's this sort of hologram pulse, or like a shield effect or something. I unno, I thought it'd be cool.

I've never made a hologram effect before. I wasn't trying to, but I was messing around with some stuff and one thing lead to another and here we are. Sometimes that's the best part about messing around with stuff.

Updating this beam again. This time I've added some emitters on the receiving end to make it look like it's actually doing something to the target.
I think I need to step back on this effect for a bit to think about what direction I'd like to go. So stay tuned.

Hello!
So for this specific part of the beam I'm using a particle strip. And I'm setting the position of the particles along a Sequential Line where the end point is an object that I feed the system though a property binder.

Here's something I've been working on this week. It's a beam that follows a target.
The center is made up of a line of cylinders, almost like a pseudo cylinder strip mesh. I just hide the cylinders that go past the target.
Hopefully I can get more working on this soon.

Finally get to post after a while. Been practising making beams. I created a graph for beam creation and a few settings to modify them. Still not totally satisfied or anywhere near done. But this is the progress so far.
