Knitted green cardigan pinned on gray blocking mat, with white color work yoke and light green square buttons. My steek mistakes included only using three stitches when I set up the steek, and using the same color yarn as the body to do the crochet reinforcement up the steek. When I was cutting it, that made it much harder to see the reinforcement and make sure I was cutting in the right place. I nearly lost some stitches in the yoke but managed to needle felt them as a secondary reinforcement. I think it's going to be okay now.

Just finished my 3rd version of the "Close to You" scarf and this is the first time I noticed it called for a picot bind off. 🤪 The 2nd picture is one I took this morning in NW Ohio, our first snow of the season. I'm calling it "The Joy of Overlapping Seasons." Boo on soggy leaves. 😢 #knitsky #snow

My backyard still covered with a heavy layer of leaves, with our first snow now on top of the leaves making a soggy mess. There's a large boulder at the left side of the photo. The boulder is black and is sprinkled with beautiful fall colored leaves and there's a bright blue dragonfly garden decoration staked in the ground in front of it, forming a lovely contrast of colors, however inappropriate for the season, lol.

This week's #showmeyourknits inspired me to start making hats for charity, something I haven't done for quite a few years. These are the two I made so far this week, modeled by my Vermont teddy bear whose head is too small. These will go to the unhoused in southeast Michigan next month. ♥️ #knitsky

I offer you a much-needed kitty timeline cleanse of Sophie getting a great face and neck massage. She's getting old and is often anxious because of reduced hearing and vision, so I try to comfort her as much as I can these days. Such a sweetheart! #catsky #pets

I was traveling last week and now she won't let me out of her sight. She's nearly 15 and has dementia, so gets more stressed by changes. I love my sweet baby but she sure is making it hard to settle in for some #knitting in my new recliner! #knitsky #cats #petsky 🧶💚

It's #showmeyourknits scarf week, so I gathered four versions of the Hitchhiker scarf for a garden photoshoot. And found that none of them were in my Ravelry projects (???), so fixed that too. #knitting #scarves

#Knitsky, I feel smart! I just cast on 200 sts for a cardi & joined in the round using 3 stitches for a steek. I checked & dbl checked that my stitches weren't twisted when I joined, but 🤷‍♀️ But I realized that I could fix the twist in the middle of the steek and now I don't have to rip out 1000 sts!

It's not really visible in the photo, but I've just twisted the steek stitches to fix my mistake when I joined in the round. I feel like a genius!
