The Trump administration told states that they must “immediately undo” any actions to provide full food stamp benefits to low-income families, in a move that added to the chaos and uncertainty surrounding the nation’s largest anti-hunger program during the government shutdown. The Agriculture Department issued the command in a late-night Saturday memo, viewed later by The New York Times. That guidance threatened to impose financial penalties on states that did not “comply” quickly with the government’s new orders.

A Thursday directive from the State Department, sent to embassies and consulates around the world, indicates that people applying for visas to the United States may be rejected if they have certain medical conditions, on the grounds that they could take up domestic health care resources. “You must consider an applicant’s health,” the cable read. “Certain medical conditions—including, but not limited to, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, cancers, diabetes, metabolic diseases, neurological diseases, and mental health conditions—can require hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of care.” The announcement then goes on to mention obesity, stating that it can be connected to asthma, sleep apnea, and high blood pressure.

ICE is working on plans to hire private Bounty Hunters who will get paid based on how quick and many immigrants they can locate for ICE to deport.

Things are going to get worse it seems.
According to the document, which solicits information from interested contractors for a potentially forthcoming contract opportunity, companies hired by ICE will be given bundles of information on 10,000 immigrants at a time to locate, with further assignments provided in “increments of 10,000 up to 1,000,000.”

This is not true. No medical office/facility will provide care unless they know how the person is going to pay.

This means they need to verify coverage and can easily get details on deductibles and co-insurance rates and maximums and tell client before a procedure.

This is simply a lie.
Requiring providers to discuss costs with patients, whether before or after services are provided, would pose a "significant burden," he said. Doctors and other providers typically don't know specifics about patient deductibles, cost sharing or other insurance coverage details until after a claim is submitted to a health plan.

But Garcia-Hernandez remained steadfast. “I think that we should continue to use our voices and continue to warn others about what’s happening because it is not OK how our people, our community is being treated,” she said. “And me as a U.S. Citizen, I ended up being treated this way just because I was taking pictures and videos of (them) to warn the community. They were mad because they were getting exposed.”

She said the agent drove them “all over the place” for several hours, crossing between Evanston and Rogers Park, and said that at multiple points he slammed on his brakes to try and cause another car to hit his vehicle. “He jumped out of the car [and] ran to the car behind with his mace out, to try and mace these people — he did that on two occasions,” Moriarty said. “He did it a third time, and one of the other agents in the car said, ‘Do not get out of the car this time.’”
