They will use dissent against the war to arrest people. They will charge people with aiding the enemies of the US and terrorist organizations simply for speaking up.
A war on Iran won’t only occur in Iran.
There will be claims of imminent reprisal attacks to assault the freedoms of our Muslim neighbors, no matter how absurd or ignorant. There will be persecution & deportation attempts, esp vs the pro-Palestine movement.
