Writer, reader, yoga teacher, showing up daily to my messy, perfectly imperfect life. I want all of us to write anyway, create anyway. Now more than ever the world needs our words, our art. www.kimhaaswriter.com
The delay is deliberate. It’s strategy. Let’s make sure it absolutely backfires on them.

She looks positively haunted by her vote. As she should. It should haunt her for the rest of her life. Even Susan F*cking Collins did the right thing for once.

I am floundering. I searched for tips on revising a novel and came across this spreadsheet based on the snowflake method. It’s helping me carve out some clarity. Onward!

Share any novel revising tips. I haven’t yet outlined anything. I am generally a pantser who later turns toward plotter🤷‍♀️

My heart❤️ One of the main reasons I don’t sink into a pit of absolute despair and depression every single day 🥺

Read this in the latest issue of “Writer’s Digest.” Needed to read her take on writing amidst chaos. Words are healing. The right words reach me exactly when I need them. Words are magic.

A lil bit of joy! She loves all water: puddles, ponds, lakes. But not a bath which she needs once a week🤦‍♀️

Another notebook filled with morning pages: dreams + desires, anger + anxiety, the mundane + profound 💕

Worked on this intricate paint-by-numbers for 2 full hours and besides sleep, it’s the most calm my mind gets these days.

Today sucks. It feels heavy and dark. So I took my pup for a lil walk around the lake and had a lil ice cream treat.

I love my writing room! This is one wall and the art I’ve collected over the years. Some I made, some were bought at art festivals, some I found in magazines, some are even from shopping bags. Art is everywhere if we only look😍

Excited for the Inspired Collective session to start!!! Who doesn’t need some inspiration, support and nourishment right now? Amie, James and the whole community offer exactly that💕

Trying to figure out why I am so much more productive at the bookstore than at home.

Anyone else experience this?

Walked TWO days in a row! Only a mile but that’s better than zero miles. And today is the first day I can remember what it’s like to feel well and can imagine myself 100% again🥰

Walked for a whole mile today and I am tired but not complete exhausted. Plus I taught 2 yoga classes this morning. I just had to out and enjoy this gorgeous day. #pneumoniarecovery

Went for my first lil walk in a while and I am now coughing and exhausted. Pneumonia is no joke! But damn, what a beautiful day!! And my pup was SO happy so it was totally worth it🥰

Still feeling pretty crappy today. This bug is brutal😷 My focus is limited but I am engaged with her latest. I believe her 4 tools are essential to me now and will help navigate whatever is looming on the horizon.

The vet is VERY happy with how I’m doing and my mom and dad only have to give me a bath once a week instead of three! 😍

Rough week. Did the bare minimum with my writing. The news is overwhelming. Had a lovely lunch with a friend. Having friends over to paint tomorrow. Came to my fave cafe at the bookstore to write. Cleaned the house. It’s all a lot right now. Let’s take tender care of ourselves and each other💕

I put together a basket of cozy activities to do that are soothing to balance all the horrors being thrown at us. It includes: jigsaw puzzle, coloring books, Zentangles, origami, Spirograph, a 3D house puzzle that sits on a bookshelf between books💕
