In the beginning she made some flashy rootin tootin gun girl Harley rider ads funded by the Koch brothers and it worked. Once elected, it isn’t easy to defeat anyone, even when they are ineffectual and cruel.

Clearly, she has supporters, and Iowa is in a very red era. It wasn’t always this way. We were reliably purple for awhile. With good candidates and hopefully more national support we can rid ourselves of her, Reynolds, Hinson, and Miller Meeks. And then there’s Chuck…

The bread bag story cracks me up. If you had “good shoes” they were church only. The bread bags were for leaky snow boots and were worn on the inside. Only the well off kids wore dress shoes to school.

Iowa has taken a hard right turn. It hasn’t benefited. School rankings have dropped, brain drain intensified, etc. I do believe the pendulum will swing back. I’m sure going to try to make that happen.

She made an ad about castrating hogs. I don’t know she actually participated. When convenient-like election time-she leans into Iowa farm culture. Even with her wardrobe. But can’t quote corn or soybean prices.

As an Iowan, I’m completely unsurprised by her comments. This isn’t new. Press her on any issue, she gets mean and snarky. Her lack of humanity has finally gone nationwide.

I don’t think she cares about being funny. I do think she enjoys being an asshole. Whatever gets her in with the bigger assholes, and on Fox. She’s a pick me.
