I've finally hit a threshold for what I'd consider a real "geek"—obviously I've been coding for years (it's my job), but today... I bought and assembled a Raspberry Pi, for the purpose of setting up a home server.
I'm already blocking ads on my wifi network, and I'm setting up image hosting next.

I've finally hit a threshold for what I'd consider a real "geek"—obviously I've been coding for years (it's my job), but today... I bought and assembled a Raspberry Pi, for the purpose of setting up a home server.

the good: we have central heating!!!!
the bad: we were told it was broken when we moved in last year, we only half-verified it, and the technician just let us know it was never broken, it was just that nobody knew how to operate the remote properly 😭😭

🚨 I cannot recommend enough IMMEDIATELY going to your settings and turning off autoplay before you scroll any further. The closeup of Charlie Kirk being hit by a bullet is gruesome and extremely graphic. I did not look for it and it was right there in my feed.
