I just put a semi-colon into the first sentence of the third paragraph of my manuscript. It really feels like just the right punctuation and sentence-structure for the mood of this scene. But I'm afraid it will turn off agents, even if used correctly, this early in the book. Thoughts?

A song for #readers

Just so y'all know! I am NOT here to "amass followers so people will buy my books!" I learned from That Other Platform that it doesn't work that way anyway. I am here to meet and interact with fellow readers and writers, because (frankly!) they're the best kind of people.

It's so affirming the way this platform always says "Your post has been published!" It's like the one place on earth where I don't get rejections constantly. Amirite, #writingcommunity ?

I suppose I should, at some point, post something, eh? (Sorry, still feeling kind of numb after the disappointment of That Other Platform.)
