The new Japanese “MEGA Dream ex”expansion is has some gorgeous cards! I had no intention of getting back into buying boosters, but I’ll at least be picking up the English “Ascended Heroes” Elite Trainer Box when it releases. I want all of these for my collections (N’s Zekrom will be the ETB promo).

Not only did I get the pin set as a bonus for preordering the Switch 2 version, but the clerk also gave me the notebook, which was the preorder bonus for the Switch 1 version. I guess my local JB didn’t get many Switch 1 preorders. Works for me!

Got my Pikachu Curry Plate plush! This was a little trickier to get than my usual imports (due to being so popular, Pokémon Centers implemented a one-per-person buying limit which made it tricky for export websites to stock it). Got mine from the wonderful @pokevault.bsky.social!

I boldly made this statement on Twitter a year and a half ago and only today did I realise that it’s incorrect, and Emerald actually uses a different font entirely to both Ruby/Sapphire and FireRed/LeafGreen.
Basically, all three Gen III entries each use their own unique in-game font.

I was scrolling through Instagram and I saw a post where someone had 3D printed all the Unown and turned them into fridge magnets… so I found the free files online and immediately started the same thing myself.

This Dragon Quest perpetual calendar plush! I’ve only partly-played one DQ game but my partner is a big fan, and this was one of his pickups. I believe this was originally some kind of lottery prize, we picked this up pre-owned at a Surugaya in Yokohama.

Ni no Kuni: Dominion of the Dark Djinn collector’s edition on Nintendo DS! The PS3 version is one of my all-time favourite games, and this original version comes with a hardcover Wizard’s Compendium book. I was absolutely stoked to find it in Trader in Akihabara for only ¥2480 ($28 AUD).
