I usually order my plushies from Japan (cheaper, and Japanese plush have unique tags), but my usual site can’t keep this plush in stock. Every time I get a “back in stock” notification, it sells out instantly.

Honestly, the Australian Pokémon Center website is an annoying experience. There’s significantly less unique items stocked than on the US website, but purchases ship from the US anyway. May as well just enable international shipping on the US site.

There’s something about this particular Pikachu card that makes it easily one of my favourite Pikachu cards ever.

I have spots set aside in my N collection binder for the first three cards already. This N’s Zoroark ex card might actually be my favourite N card so far. Absolutely beautiful.

And the James Turner-illustrated Pikachu ex is just too cute to not have for my Pikachu collection.

I hope they get a full art or illustration rare release too. I collect N cards, and it would be cool to do an Anthea & Concordia page opposite my Ghetsis page in my N collection binder.

Honestly, I’d probably quit gaming entirely if we do end up in that all-digital future that keeps getting talked about. I love collecting physical releases as much as actually playing, and my physical backlog of video games is large enough to last me a lifetime anyway..

I feel like I’ve learnt so much about both JavaScript and CSS in the last week. Having these little wins is so motivating to keep working on the site.

Not only did I get the pin set as a bonus for preordering the Switch 2 version, but the clerk also gave me the notebook, which was the preorder bonus for the Switch 1 version. I guess my local JB didn’t get many Switch 1 preorders. Works for me!

ALSO, I preordered from JB Hi-Fi this time because it had a much better preorder bonus than EB Games (JB had the three-pin set, whereas EB gave you one chosen at random).

And I picked Chikorita. I know it’s probably the weakest of the Z-A starters, but I have such a soft spot for Chikorita (it was my pick when I first played a Johto game). It probably sucks less in Kalos than it does in Johto, anyway.

Picked up the Switch 2 edition so I can experience the enhancements when I do upgrade to a Switch 2, but I am currently playing on a Switch OLED (this cartridge works on the original Switch). I’ll be working all weekend so I don’t expect to get much playtime in until Monday.
