Someone’s grandfather was in a Nazi concentration camp during WWII on farm duty. They used barbed wire to poke holes in potatoes to make them spoil quickly. It was the only thing they could do to resist.

I passed out nearly 100 jewel-toned paper clips yesterday and someone had a slip of paper explaining the reason we wear: They bound together Norwegian teachers during Nazi occupation in WWII.
