Proud to unveil the redesigned mascot for Eliot Arts Magnet! After losing their historic Altadena campus in January's fires, Eliot has shown incredible resilience, continuing to provide world-class arts education. Our updated husky embodies their strength and optimism. Go Huskies!

Honestly, at this point its getting hard to keep track of all the different ways in which AI is attempting to destroy the design industry.

Honored to once again help Strategic Actions for a Just Economy celebrate their LA For Everybody gala. This year's 'Building Bridges' theme featured designs inspired by LA's historic North Broadway Bridge and the City Beautiful movement. #designforgood #economicjustice #madebykilter

For those of us who find the whole #starterpack trend deeply depressing this is heartening to see.

Not looking forward to a world where something being designed by an actual human becomes the outlier rather than the norm. ☹️
Adobe introducing a “created without generative AI” moves the Overton Window towards treating AI generated content as the norm.

It’s the same way “handmade” exists as a term in modern times to distinguish from the norm of factory produced goods.
Adobe releases ‘created without generative AI’ tag to label human-generated art
Just as it’s introducing the option to use GenAI models like OpenAI, Runway, and Google, Adobe is letting creators draw a new line in the sand between their work and AI.

Why are we not surprised.

Whether the "You wouldn't steal a car" anti-piracy campaign stole the music is up for debate, but I found today that the font they used throughout was a pirated clone (XBAND Rough) of a real font (FF Confidential).

By using FontForge on a PDF from the website for the campaign (web.archive.org/web/20051223...); I can confirm that they are indeed using the illegal clone version of the font, rather than the licensed one!

This Earth Day we wanna give a shoutout to friend of the studio Marie Massa, who is doing her part to grow native habitat in Los Angeles with her incredible Lincoln Heights Native Plant Corridor! So great to see her efforts recognized by @latimes.com!

How one woman is doggedly transforming an L.A. trash patch into a vibrant habitat garden
Marie Massa has spent more than three years working mostly alone to transform a weedy strip of public land into a fragrant habitat garden in Lincoln Heights.
