Visiting Canada, we took in a trip to Grosse île. Over 5,000 Irish people, fleeing from the Famine, died from typhus or cholera on the quarantine island, many others died on board ships before reaching Grosse Île or after they were allowed to disembark into Quebec City.

My question of the day arising from a drive from Hamilton, Ontario, to Stoney Creek is: Could it be that Canada is really big, or is Ireland really really small?
